Acquisition Letter

Dear Valued Customer:

As of Sept. 12, 2006, Planar Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLNR) has announced the completion of its acquisition of Clarity Visual Systems, Inc. We are very excited to be a part of this great company, and believe the efforts of our combined teams will bring added value and greater opportunity to our business partners. We intend to make this transition as smooth as possible and are taking great efforts to ensure that your ability to order and receive Clarity product is not impacted at all.

As we begin to operate within Planar Systems, the Clarity product lines you are familiar with — control room and digital signage systems — will retain the Clarity name with a “by Planar” tagline. The Clarity company logo and any references to Clarity as a company will be replaced by “Planar Systems, Inc.” and the Planar Systems logo over time. Initially, Clarity reseller partners will continue to sell only the Clarity systems (Open, Integrated and Signage) specified in their partner agreements, and will not have access to other Planar product lines. Likewise, resellers in other Planar business units will not have access to the Clarity products.

Planar brings access to additional resources including intellectual property, supply chain, R&D and a world class service organization. Planar’s strategic vision is to create best-in-class solutions for vertical markets that value differentiated display systems. Planar’s acquisition of Clarity Visual Systems supports this vision and the combined company will grow and prosper as operations are merged.
