Clarity has been acquired by Planar Systems, Inc.

Clarity Visual Systems has now joined with Planar Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLNR), a publicly traded company with headquarters in Beaverton Oregon.

Planar Systems' strategic objective is to "Create best-in-class solutions for vertical markets that value differentiated display systems." Clarity's focus on the design and engineering of specialty display solutions for use in a variety of high-value vertical market segments is synergistic with this vision.

Customers will continue to find innovative Clarity product lines serving the control room and digital signage markets in the control room/digital signage business unit (CSBU) within Planar Systems Corporation. They'll also find the same dedication to quality and sensitivity to customer needs that has helped Clarity to supply and support display solutions at some of the world's leading organizations.
